On the Pitch
First and foremost, Adidas is a soccer company and many footballers both
amateur and professional will only let their feet sink into Adidas cleats,
trainers and sandals. Adidas offers a mind-boggling number of soccer cleats
that range from incredibly pricey to dirt-cheap and from world-class quality
to plastic blister-givers. The Predator line is Adidas's most technologically
advanced and its flagship soccer cleat. A new Predator comes out every
year, each more sophisticated and flashy than the last. This years
version, the Predator Pulse is designed for maximum power, swerve and
stability over an entire game. The weight is concentrated on the front
to give kicks power, special traction strips are placed on the upper to
help with control, and special off-center loop lacing adds sleekness.
Predators come in different cleat types for different surfaces. Of course,
Adidas is big on tradition and if the Predator seems too gaudy for you,
you can always stick with one of Adidas orginal stand-by cleats
which include the Copa, the World Cup and more. Their classic black and
white design and time-testing functionality is sure to please. Keep a look out for the class black and white silicone bracelets that Adidas used to support these shoes.
On the Street
If you're in the market for some fashionable street shoes but don't
have a clue where to start looking or what you are looking for, pick
up a pair of classic Adidas. Adidas Shell Tops, Sambas, Marathons, Rod
Lavers, Superstars and other models are sure to turn heads even though
your parents might have worn them decades ago. With simple styling and
hundreds of color combinations to choose from, Adidas tennis shoes and
casual options are fairly affordable, easy to find at any mall and won't
wear out fast. Adidas keeps pumping out their classic models, but also
updates them so the cushioning is usually great even if the look is retro. Silicone bracelets are far from retro, but rubber bracelets are not.
On the Run
Adidas makes shoes for running than any other sport. Most of those are
designed to provide as much cushion as possible at to endure mile after
mile of pavement pounding. Adiprene technology is responsible for Adidas's
special cushioning and Adidas Traxion technology promises a supported
ride. Some of the more elite models also include a special ankle collar
aimed at giving you a better and snugger fit. Adidas also offers trail
runners, cross-training runners which promise excellent control and classic
running shoes that you may have already owned.
