Quiksilver | Quicksilver

I am not a professional surfer but neither am I a fashion freak to have this written to showcase that glorious (if I may call it so, that is) shopping experience at a Quiksilver clothes store. What really motivated me is the wonderful experience I had throughout my stay there for an initial dekko that ended up as a buying spree.

Here, I was walking through their shirts collection which, I guess, had about 10-12 fundamentally different designs that ranged from short sleeved tees to Sherpa hoodies to men’s yard shirts in all colors and splendors. Just as I was enjoying the touch and feel of the pieces on display, two more things quickly appealed to me; the friendly, helping nature of sales personnel and the price range which started from $18 odd. The all cotton shirts in spun variety gave a wonderful feeling to fingers and were really pleasing to the eyes with their dash of colors and chest prints. The striped and checkered patterns, especially in yard shirts, were elegant and I thought it was dirt cheap at $37 odd.

But my visit to the outlet was to buy some Quiksilver surfwear like boardshorts, rashguards for surfing. I had browsed through a couple of reviews to cover up my relative lack of knowledge which otherwise might have shown up to a seasoned salesman. I must confess that I have a weakness for bold but random colors and abstract patters; so it goes without a mention what my first love is when it comes to making a statement. Board shorts really turned me on with crazy colors and patterns. The man by my side started off with his usual blabbering stuffs like “made with fast-drying and light full polyester supersuede fabric which also features convenient neoprene fly under the lace closure” and that it had “ Lycra® beneath hem for grip” and so on. Poor chap, how can he know that I was already bowled over by its no-floral-prints, no-big-block west coast graphic designs which made them great-to-wear pieces with suede appeals (secretly I exclaimed how can they sell pieces that were tagged for $51.95 at $34.97!)

Men’s swimsuits had some good features which I didn’t know of till I saw them myself.

Quiksilver.com announces their end of the season discount sale which is a point to checkout for ever surf enthusiast. The rash resistant technology, side pocket with Velcro closure including wax comb leashes and Lycra taping along the hem to prevent the knees from hanging-up on these lengths and s oft Lycra strip inside the front rise to eliminate chafing and comfort are added bonus as I least expected them. My second chance to get flattered was when the man told me that logo can be custom embroidered.

Well, I paid more than what I wanted to but definitely not for less.
